How to get your IMEI and MEP via the Engineering Screens
 

  1. Remove the Media/Memory Card and Sim Card and switch on the phone.
  2. From the home screen, try each of the three methods below to access the HELP ME screen.

    • (Method 1) - press and hold the ALT - CAPS - H keys at the same time.

    • (Method 2) - press and hold the ALT key and type EACE.

    • (Method 3) - press and hold the ALT key and type ESCR.

  3. The IMEI should be displayed on the HELP ME screen - make a note of this.
  4. Enter the appropriate information from the HELP ME screen into the form below to generate an Engineering Screen Key.

    Device PIN:
    The Device PIN is Case Sensitive and must be entered into this field exactly as shown on the Help Me screen.
    App Version:
    Make sure there is a space before the opening bracket - for example 0.1.2.345 (678) would be correct and 0.1.2.345(678) would be incorrect.
    Uptime:
    Enter only numbers in this field - for example 012345 would be correct and 012345 secs would be incorrect.
    Key Duration:
    Just leave this on 1 day.

    Your Engineering Screens Key Is: 

  5. With the HELP ME screen still visible, enter the Engineering Screens Key into your phone exactly as it appears above (you will not see anything while you type and you will usually need to press and hold the ALT key to enter numbers). The Engineering Screens should now appear.
  6. DO NOT alter any of the settings in the Engineering Screens as this could cause irreversable damage to your phone.
  7. Scroll to OS Engineering Screens and click to select.
  8. Scroll to Device Info and click to select.
  9. Scroll until you find the entry beginning with MEP- (e.g. MEP-01234-012) and make a note of this and close this window.
